In Hertz Capital, our Data Analyst does not support but fundamentally drive our business expansion.

 

This is a high-impact role requiring enthusiasm and dynamism. You will play a critical role in maintaining, extracting, analyzing, and interpreting vast sets of financial and alternative data to drive informed investment decisions. You will collaborate closely with portfolio managers, traders, and other key stakeholders to provide unique and actionable insights derived from data analysis.

About the Job
•    Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources including financial markets, economic indicators, and alternative datasets
•    Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis to identify patterns, correlations, and trends within the data
•    Generate reports and presentations summarizing key findings and recommendations for portfolio managers and senior leadership
•    Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments impacting financial markets and data analysis
•    Support ad-hoc research projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing the firm's analytical capabilities and competitive edge

Skills And Experience Required
•    Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D.’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, business analytics or a related field
•    Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and model development
•    Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, matplotlib) to present complex data in a clear and concise manner
•    Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
•    Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•    Knowledge of quantitative finance concepts such as portfolio theory, risk management, and factor modeling is a plus
•    Experience with alternative datasets (e.g., social media sentiment) and machine learning techniques is desirable but not required
